I’m Angela S. Lieurance, your boots-on-the-ground, seen-it-all, done-it-all fundraising strategist and coach.
I have raised more than $200 million for not-for-profits over my 30-plus years of working in philanthropy. In fact, I am smack-dab in the middle of raising $150 million for the National Western Stock Show’s Capital Campaign.
I know your world. I live in your world. I’ve been there. Done it. Screwed it up. Fixed it. Moved on. Rinsed and repeated.
In middle school, I sold more candles than the rest of the kids combined to help buy new band uniforms. I probably should have known then that I really liked to fundraise!
In 2014 I created Relentless Pursuits—my own fundraising consulting firm—determined to get back to my passion and transform the way fundraising was done.
My mission is to help fundraisers and not-for-profit leaders master the art and science of fundraising, enjoy every step of the journey, and, most importantly, be successful.
Fundraising isn’t about money. It’s all about relationships.
I consider fundraising—and all the work that goes on in and around it—a privilege.
We don’t have to agree on everything, but these two points are non-negotiable.
You can thrive. You can love what you do. You can be strategic and genuine. You can support the missions you love by raising the money they need to flourish. You can be respected. And I can help you.
From strategy to communications to building relationships to boots-on-the-ground fundraising, I have done it all and can help you flourish.
My goal is to help you transform your approach to fundraising; to help you break through the fear that stops you in your tracks; to support you in making fundraising a priority; to alleviate the persistent pressures you feel from your board, your CEO, and your clients.
I keep it simple: By focusing on strategy and plans, accountability, communication, and an obsession with relationships, I will help you change the way you go about this work, and, most importantly, the way you think about fundraising.
I bring an extensive background in fundraising, marketing, communications, strategy, and leadership development to you. I have experience with annual funds, major gifts, capital campaigns, board development, and coaching.
I want to encourage you to think big and then bigger, to take massive action and then do a little more, and to be bold.
In addition to being a certified life coach, I have also trained with Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi on creating and executing Masterminds, Master Classes, and online curriculum. I started Relentless Pursuits in 2014 with the desire to transform the way fundraising gets done. In the process, I have also developed a passion for coaching other fundraisers and not-for-profits to love your work, add value, stay grateful, and be relentless.
